I have been twice and I would say don’t miss taking an over night stay on a junk in Ha Long Bay . North Vietnam. I believe it’s very popular now and much more commercial from when I went . A lot more boats . Such a beautiful and interesting country . I love Asia.💞

Choose your junk carefully. You don’t want to be stuck with a view overnight looking at 50 other boats.
Hoi An also a must, wonderful area to cruise by bicycle out into the fields. Stay away from the tourist squash at night on the river.
Hanoi – book a walking food tour, fantastic introduction to eating on the street and not being put off by eating in the gutter. Best advice for Hanoi – he who hesitates is lost, walk out into the oncoming traffic with confidence. I kid you not, if you hesitate it doesn’t work. Good luck enjoy have fun, happy Trails.
The most incredible country, wonderful people, amazing food. Saigon food tours a must. On the back of motorbikes in peak hour traffic. Such a thrill. Hoi an a must, especially to have clothes made. Hue for the temples and Hanoi’s old quarter. Wish I could join you.

Go and have an egg coffee or Vietnamese coffee at Train street in Hanoi. A must to see the train go through there.
