My style crush SJP has teamed up with New Zealand winemaker Invivo & Co to produce her very own wine range Invivo X, SJP.
I love that at 54, Sarah continues to evolve. Not only is she a style icon, great actress, hardworking mum, shoe designer, and book publisher, she can now add wine-maker to the list.
The wine has hints of passionfruit and grapefruit, which to me sounds delicious. Each bottle is $25 – great for a wine. So, I’ll be making like SJP and 100% purchasing a bottle.
SJP says she has thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration with Rob and Tim from Invivo. How could she not, they are Kiwis after all.
“Every part of the process from our initial conversations discussing wine styles to the creative process on the brand and label design and, of course, the sauvignon blanc blending session, it’s all been one exciting step after another,” says Sarah.
“And a thrilling education in the business of winemaking.”
Rob says Sarah Jessica loves the fruit purity of sauvignon blanc but wanted to make a wine that has some weight behind it.
“The result is a beautifully well-balanced drop. It’s not a typical Marlborough sauvignon blanc. This will continue to develop for up to seven years.”
The wine is out now, and I for one am very excited. I’ll be heading straight to our local BWS – you can also buy it at Cellarmasters in Australia – and putting one on ice. I’ll get the girls around and in celebration we’ll watch a few Sex and the City reruns.
SJP has had a massive year, she is currently starring in the HBO drama Divorce, continues with her shoe range, publishes books and balances life as a mum.
This style icon just gets better with age, much like a fine wine. Cheers to her.
